Think about a moment when your understanding of your family changed as you got older. How did that shift impact your perspective, and how does that connect to Chris’s realization about his parents in Chapter 11?

Prompt: My parents divorced the summer before my 11th grade. For a while I had known that they were unhappy in their marriage, but the divorce really underscored it. I realized that the only reason they had been together for the last decade or so was so that me and my sister would not grow up with split parents. This caused my respect for my parents to further as they waited to make that decision for my sake. I think this connects to Chris as his parents were also in constant disagreement.

Summary: Today we read chapter 11.

Reflection: I learned about Chris's parents.
