After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why?

 Prompt: I think that using a hypophora is very effective. I notice that they are used in many effective arguments or speeches that I have heard. It is also a rhetorical device that is easy to pull off. Overall, I think that it just really strengthens an argument.

Summary: Today we will take an assessment on the rhetorical devices we have been learning.

Reflection: I hope to do good on my assessment.

  Prompt Response:  When I am working on a project, I typically create a loose plan in my head on what I want to do and how I will do it. This helps me stay on track and avoid wasting time. I was most proud of a project I made in 8th grade. I made a very impressive civil war diorama. This project was of a quality I never thought that I could achieve. I also really enjoyed making the project because I really enjoy history. Summary: Today we did a vocabulary assignment. Reflection:  I learned new words that I can use in my writing.

 Prompt: The word malinger resonates with me. I never knew that there was an entire word for skipping work or school by pretending to be sick. It is a useful word that is not really heard of.
