In “We Real Cool,” the speakers make choices that seem exciting, bold, and rebellious, even though those choices lead to consequences. Write about a moment in your own life when you followed what looked cool or fun, only to realize afterwards that it wasn’t the smart or responsible path. What influenced your decision, and how did your perspective change later?

Prompt Response: There have been many instances where I procrastinate on my homework because there are other things that I would rather do. A lot of times where I have done this I have ended up staying up very late in order to complete the homework. This is almost never worth it and it is a habit that I have been trying to change. I think I will really benefit from this change.

Summary: Today we read "We Real Cool".

Reflection: Doing things to seem cool that only harm you are not smart in the long run.
