You’ve been in American Literature for 4.5 weeks now. How has the class been going for you so far?

 Prompt Response: I think that this class has been very enjoyable. The workload has been extremely manageable, and I think it is a very perfect amount. Work should not take up all of my free time at home, and I think this class avoids that perfectly. I also really enjoy the content we have been learning. American literature has been a very interesting subject and a very enjoyable class.

Summary: Today we read three poems and started our soundtrack assignment.

Reflection: I learned about the theme of death.

 The most challenging part about working in a group is trusting the other members in the group to do their part. Sometimes your group members may be irresponsible. Last semester I dealt with this problem and I learned that I need to be more considerate when choosing my group members. Summary: Today we graded other essays. Reflection: I now understand better what I need to do to get a good grade on my essay.

  Prompt Response:  When I am working on a project, I typically create a loose plan in my head on what I want to do and how I will do it. This helps me stay on track and avoid wasting time. I was most proud of a project I made in 8th grade. I made a very impressive civil war diorama. This project was of a quality I never thought that I could achieve. I also really enjoyed making the project because I really enjoy history. Summary: Today we did a vocabulary assignment. Reflection:  I learned new words that I can use in my writing.
