Of today’s 15 vocabulary words, which three do you think you will use the most in your speaking and writing this semester? Explain why each word feels useful or powerful to you.

 Prompt: I think that I will use the word affinity the most. I think this is because out of all of the vocabulary words it seems like the most useful and widely used. I hear this word a lot, so it would be easy to incorporate into my vocabulary. I think that this word has a lot of uses and I would use it often.

Summary: On September 15th, we went over clustering and essay writing techniques.

Reflection: I think these techniques will be very useful in the future.

  Prompt Response:  When I am working on a project, I typically create a loose plan in my head on what I want to do and how I will do it. This helps me stay on track and avoid wasting time. I was most proud of a project I made in 8th grade. I made a very impressive civil war diorama. This project was of a quality I never thought that I could achieve. I also really enjoyed making the project because I really enjoy history. Summary: Today we did a vocabulary assignment. Reflection:  I learned new words that I can use in my writing.

 Prompt: The word malinger resonates with me. I never knew that there was an entire word for skipping work or school by pretending to be sick. It is a useful word that is not really heard of. I also thing that the word comes off of the tongue really well. Summary: Today we did vocabulary. Reflection: I learned new words that I can use in my writing.
