 Prompt Response: A meaningful place to me is school. In general, I have spent a lot of time at Lakeside, and that comes with lots of memories and stories that I think about. In school, I have met so many people that have seriously affected my life outside of school. It has also helped give me guidance in what I like and dislike, along with giving me a routine to rely on. Overall, school has affected my life in almost every aspect and has led to me becoming the person that I am today.

Summary: Today we read about and annotated the Navajo creation story. We also explored the theme of the story.

Reflection: Today I learned that a theme HAS to be a statement. Although I think I am pretty familiar with what a theme is, I think this still is helpful to know.

Prompt: Chris's desire for independence got him killed because it ultimately led to him being secluded, away from those who may be able to help him. A time that I wanted to be independent is a current dilemma. I honestly think I might want to go straight into the workforce after high school rather than pursuing college.  The most challenging part about working in a group is trusting the other members in the group to do their part. Sometimes your group members may be irresponsible. Last semester I dealt with this problem and I learned that I need to be more considerate when choosing my group members. Summary: Today we graded other essays. Reflection: I now understand better what I need to do to get a good grade on my essay.
